Commercial Work
The vast majority of my motion graphics work has been in the events industry, where I specialise in creating high-impact opening VTs designed to excite, engage, and energise live audiences.
These attention-grabbing pieces are built to set the tone and make a strong first impression.
Alongside this, I’ve also worked on more elegant and evocative motion pieces, designed to convey mood, atmosphere, and storytelling with subtlety and finesse.
My technical toolkit includes After Effects, Element 3D, Trapcode Suite, Optical Flares, and occasionally Cinema 4D for added dimension and depth.
This video was crafted as the high-impact opener for the Top 50 Best Hotels 2024 award ceremony.
The piece is designed to create a grandiose and prestigious atmosphere from the outset, seamlessly integrating prominent event branding and introducing key sponsors to set a spectacular tone for an evening celebrating excellence.
This awards opener serves as a powerful injection of energy, built around the event's unique branding. The visual narrative is driven by heavy, artistic brushstrokes that create a dynamic and textured feel.
The centerpiece is a custom 3D model of the trophy, which was treated with a 'posterize time' effect to give it a distinct and tactile stop-motion impression, blending modern digital craft with a classic, stylized rhythm.
This opening video was produced for the prestigious Top 50 Cocktail Bars awards. The core creative challenge was to reflect the brand's dual identity: the vibrant energy of the modern bar scene and the timeless elegance of a classic cocktail.
To achieve this, a powerful, rhythm-driven music track was selected to provide impact, while the accompanying visuals were curated for their sophisticated and refined aesthetic.
The video seamlessly integrates a roster of impressive sponsors, setting a tone that is both celebratory and chic for an evening dedicated to the art of mixology.
I had the honour of creating the opening film for The 50 Best Hotels 2023. The creative goal was to evoke the profound duality of travel: the quiet sense of calm and the spirit of adventure.
This was achieved by pairing an uplifting, cinematic soundtrack with stunning visuals of beautiful, diverse locations from around the globe. This visual journey was designed not only to be pleasing but also to reflect the truly international scope of the list, celebrating the diversity of the nominated hotels and setting a prestigious tone for the ceremony.
For the National Pest Awards 2023, the goal was to create an opening film that was as energetic and unconventional as the industry itself. We leaned into a full-blown punk rock aesthetic to rip up the rulebook of traditional awards ceremony openers. The visual language is built on aggressive, textured brush strokes and rapid, chaotic camera movements. This approach injects a raw, rebellious energy into the piece, creating a sense of fun and controlled chaos that was a blast to produce and a perfect, high-voltage start to the event. It had three screens, the main one in the centre and two smaller sized screens on each side.
For the Retail Gazette Awards 2024, hosted by ginger Johnson, the brief was to create an opening with maximum impact, and we delivered a truly bombastic celebration.
This was a hugely fun project, fusing a vibrant, street-art graffiti aesthetic with the iconic energy of rock and roll. Set to the unmistakable soundtrack of AC/DC's 'Thunderstruck,' the video uses dynamic graffiti animations and powerful thunder visuals to create a full-throttle experience.
The result is an unapologetically loud and exciting film that kicked off the awards with an unforgettable bolt of energy.
I was tasked to create the opening film for the prestigious Retail Industry Awards 2023, a cornerstone event celebrating the full spectrum of the UK grocery sector, from local independent shops to the nation's largest supermarkets.
Guided by the event's powerful red and smokey branding, I developed a sophisticated and atmospheric visual theme.
The centrepiece of this approach was the dramatic introduction of the main logo, which materialised elegantly from a veil of smoke to create a moment of high impact, before presenting the impressive roster of industry-leading sponsors
The brief was to create something dynamic to get the audience hyped for the event, with the core challenge of creatively using the brand’s orange and blue colours.
My approach was to lean into powerful elemental textures. I used footage of fire and smoke, embracing the natural orange tones and then transforming other elements into a contrasting blue.
One of my favourite techniques on this project was using the smoke footage as a luma matte to reveal the on-screen captions, making them feel like they were organically part of the environment.
I also built a full 3D version of the logo to add a contrasting element of elegance.
An immersive, triple-screen graphics package designed for the prestigious AJ Architecture Awards 2023.
The project translated the event's minimalist 2D branding into a dynamic 3D architectural space. Using a stark red and black colour palette, this virtual environment of intersecting planes served as a canvas for typography and sponsor content, complemented by stylised 2D graphic elements to create a cohesive and engaging visual experience.
Welcome to the RMAS 2018!
To celebrate my company's multiple nominations at the 2018 Recruiter Marketing Awards, I created a dynamic internal video to serve as a hype reel.
The video's purpose was to showcase all our shortlisted projects and their categories to the team.
I employed a fast-paced, collage-style animation, moving a large volume of project footage and pictures across the screen in a stop-motion fashion.
This technique created an energetic and exciting visual rhythm that celebrated our success and got the entire company energised for the awards ceremony.
This is a simple explainer video that takes the viewer through the journey of the apprenticeship Network Rail had available at the time.
The assets were provided by the client and I simply put it all together, adding some dynamism to the scenes so it keeps them engaging.
